What time should io get to saratoga on travers day?

i know im gonna get there at 7 when the gates open but should i get there before then to get a good seat by the track?

No not really you'll be fine at 7 Its a beautiful track and the oldest in N America

they actually have 7 tracks there Many don't know that

It has tons of history,, make sure to go to the museum before you leave ,

I went last year and there were people lined up at the entrance from around 1 am the morning of the race.  I was staying at a Bed & Breakfast down the street from the track and couldn't sleep so I walked over to the track about 1 in the morning.  I ended up going back to the hotel and overslept (I wanted to get to the track by 8 am but didn't arrive until 11 am.)  Still, I had no problem.  And it was nice because there was no line at the admissions gate.  I didn't want to sit in the grandstand or clubhouse so if you do want that you might have to get their earlier.  I hung out in the infield, the jockey's room, by the track and the paddock.

I'm going again this year it was so much fun.

if you wanna picnic table get there near midnight the night before and be ready to run when they open the gates
