What time will I actually disembark (walk off) a Carnival cruise in the Bahamas scheduled to arrive at 8:00am?

Thank you for all the answers so far. I want to clarify my question a little. I am actually referring to the time I walk off the boat in the Bahamas, not when i arrive back in Miami at the end of the cruise. I'm not sure if there is as much clearance when you arrive in bahamas??

So, the reason I ask is I really want to do the Powerboat Exuma Adventure (http://www.powerboatadventures.com/index.lasso) and want to see if I can make it before they leave for the day. I wonder if it can be done.

and if anyone has done this adventure, is it as good as they say?

Thank you all again.

  1. You will be off by 8:30 at the latest.

  2. If it is scheduled for 8:00am, that is the time you will be allowed to get off the ship.  If there is a problem in the port that delays you from docking, most excursions will wait knowing most customers are from the ship so you won't miss it.

  3. I have gotten off as early as 730 with self disembark. Be prepared, alot of the shuttles and transportation are not available yet. We ended up taking a t axi to the airport since the shuttle we reserved wasn't going to show up til after 8a. The price was comparable so it was ok. Other wise , you wait til they call your color tag so  there isnt a mad rush to get off the ship. I did find out that you can really go anytime that the colors are just for crowd control. Have fun

  4. You can never be sure.  The ship could be delayed getting into port, or there could be Customs issues [there's always at least one group of passengers who don't feel the need to obey the cruise line's call to report for customs clearance], etc., etc.  You need to build in time to allow for delays, especially if you're catching a flight.

  5. it all depends on when the ship arrives and how long it takes to clear customs.

Usually with carnival you'll be able to get off at the scheduled time or with in 30-45 mins either way.  I have not very often been late getting off the ship. I have been 1 to 1/2 hours early.

Of course if by chance they have a problem they could skip the port all together (this happens, but not very often)

  6. Every time I have been to Nassau, I have gotten of the ship about 30-45 minutes after we ported.

  7. You should be off by 9.  :)
