Lights starts to fade at about 8:30. By 10, there will only be a faint light, and by 12, it will pretty much be pitch black.

Where i live (vancouver) its about 9:30..or 10:00 in the middle of summer the sun will be pretty much completly gone.

Depends on where you are in Canada. In some areas, it doesn't get dark at all during the summer. In other areas, those closer to the southern border, it gets dark around 10 pm

It depends where you are in Canada.  Where I am right now it won't get dark at all again until early September.  The sun shines all night - makes it very hard to sleep.  In southern Canada it gets dark by about 9:30 when the days are longest.
