  1. Girl who answered 2nd is right on... division 3 schools don't give athletic scholarships.

  2. i think it depends on the school and gender. i would say for girls you would have to be under 4:45 yards for the 500, under 2:45 for the 200 and under 50. for the 100 free. those are all good times. they schools pay a lot of attention at the state meets. if you have a jr national cut or olympic trial cut ur safe.

  3. Division 3 colleges can't give out athletic scholarships...

  4. DIII schools can't give out athletic scholarships.  However coaches at many schools can (legally and semi-legally) influence admission and financial aid packages.  Being able to show yourself off as an asset to the school which can warrant additional aid, but don't hold your breath.

Since DIII is so large 'acceptable times' vary from team to team and conference to conference.  A good rule of thumb is to figure out which schools you'd like to go to then look at the results from the last year or two conference meets.  A good rule of thumb is that your times need to place you in the top 8 if you want to be recruited.

  5. it depends on the school.  some expect more than others.
