Also, when would the best time of the year be to put a resume in, except near Christmas because i would like a job now.

Anytime of the year they take on staff - it really just depends on how many leaves and moves on.

If you sign up correctly (or if they have the option like Coles) they will email you when jobs come up in your area - keep applying, you'll get there, it's just a long process through online forms.

I liked the good old days when you used to be able to just drop in your CV !
