Question:

What tire pressure to run with passenger on zx7r?

Hi everyone,

I have an '02 kawasaki ninja zx7r. My Haynes manual says to run these tire pressures: front: 36psi and rear: 41psi.

What should I adjust these pressures to when my girlfriend is riding on the back? I'm not really sure of her weight, let's just say 150lbs or so.

Also, are there any other things I need to do when riding with her? Do I need to adjust my rear shock at all?

Thanks

  1. Those tire pressures should be sufficient for a passenger.  It's probably more important to make sure they're at the right pressure in the first place than run higher pressures.

I'd adjust your preload on the rear to compensate for the extra weight.

  2. look on the frame  for the manuf sticker it will give the correct tire preasures for the weight you are carrying.

if you look in the manual it will give you the shock adjustment for passenger weights.

Does any one asking some of these stupid questions know how to read
