What tires should i get for my car.?

hi i live in san francisco and i mainly travel around the bay area, i drive an acura rsx. should i get all weather tires high performance, or should i get get summer tires because it doesnt snow here very much. also what brand should i get, loooking for something cheap.maybe like sumitimo or kumho ?

Im not sure what type or brand of tires you should get, but fill them up with nitrogen- you dont have to check the pressure and you also gain about 3 mpg or a little more, which it helps some.

I would suggest that you go with an all-weather,since the roadways do get wet as this will keep a good grip on the road in any kind of weather. Find the best brand that will give the best kind of speed rating that goes along with your car.

Well, I've never had Kuhmos, but heard good things about them... On the other hand, my experience with tires is that you get what you pay for.  Bridgestone S03 Pole Positions my favorite performance street tire so far.  Bridgestone R011 had better grip, but fast tredwear - good for autoocross, but not the best for street.

Dunlop SP Sport FM901 - I bought these "high performance" tires cheap, and they are c**p.  I ran off the road several times because I was used to the better tires.

I'm just saying, there may be good cheap tires, but in general, the best tires are more expensive.

EDIT: to answer your question on all-seasons... you will love summer high-performance tires when its dry, and some are pretty good wet.  If it snows, you'll be sliding around a lot - i've done it before.  I had a separate set of winter tires, but I wouldn't reccommend that.  In hindsight, I would have a set of summer high-performance, and a set of all-seasons for the winter.  but I'm in Ohio, so that's different.
