  3. I just google image searched and you can see a lot of pictures of asteroids that are in space and space rocks that have impacted with earth.

We only have a couple of photographs.  They tend to be somewhat smooth, sometimes irregular lumpy looking objects.  Very Large ones would be nearly spherical due to gravity.  The smoothness is the result of eons of micrometeor or higher level collisions.   None of the fanciful growths like in that horrible movie "Armageddon".  Many are cratered to a greater or lesser extent.
