We are driving to Virginia which is 9 hours away by car for a family trip. There's going to be two cars. In ours will just be my husband and I and are toddler. She's a very active toddler and always wants to get out of the car and play. Has anyone ever done this and found some things that worked they could share? Or any good suggestions for things to take are very welcome. I have the sippy cups on my list along with snacks, diapers, wipes, toys, books etc. Also suggestions for things i might need while on vacation would be great too. Thanks so much! I will read all replies gratefully!

  1. Don't forget the sun block.  Nothing ruins a vacation like a bad sun burn.  For the car I would also pack some kids CDs and Some DVDs if you have a portibale player.   If you can I would also leave aroung her nap time so she sleeps a lot of the way.

  2. bring lots of passeys and snacks baby books put on some baby music btu usaully they sleep and go when its around nap time

  3. some kids songs with actions to play (wheels on the bus...)

small toys that they can hold

try to go at sleep time!

pack diapers, wipes and spare clothes where you can get to them easily.

the baby will be eating and drinking more, and plastic car seats get sweaty

    for when you get there...

baby's pillow and blanket and teddy from home, make the bed a bit more familiar

    basic first aid kit

    stroller

    sunblock

    loads of clothes

    baby's cutlery and plates
