What to bring/wear?

I am going to Australia in September for the whole month on a vacation/trip. I heard that this is their Spring season with seasonable temperatures but what is appropriate attire? Are we talking about 60's or 80's? Any help? I am traveling up and down the coast (Sydney, Caines, Mooloolaba Bay, Undara, Ayers Rock, Hervey Bay, O'Reillys) I very much appreciate it!

In Cairns, Undara and at Ayers Rock, the daytime temperature should be in the low 80s F and at night somewhere in the low 60s F.

Mooloolaba and Hervey Bay mid 70s F down to mid 50s F at night. O'Reillys about the same but perhaps a little lower at night.

Sydney somewhere around the high 60s F to the low 50s F at night.

Everywhere north of Sydney will be weather for short sleeves with shorts, skirts, light pants or jeans. Have a light jacket to throw on at night or first thing in the morning. In Sydney, you may need a light sweater at times or a jacket.

Our seawater is warmer than in other places and you will be able to swim. Around  Cairns, the sea temperature should be around 76 F and Hervey Bay and Mooloolaba around 73.5 F

a Melbourne saying is if you don't like the weather wait a minute. the weather is fairly erratic . Sydney in spring can get as low as 16 and high into the 30's .as you go higher the weather smoothes out mid to high 20's up low to mid 30's . the centre can get very cold at night . going by all of this,bring the wardrobe. swimsuit, warm coat ,pullover [jumper],jeans and t-shirt,shorts, and light dresses. try and cover all contingencies , you'll need too. you'll love it.

make sure whatever you bring is durable; if you want to see the sights our great land has to offer your gonna need good walking shoes...

the temp varies as to where your going to be because its so big but we could be talking anywhere between 20  and 30 degrees celcius in the spring on the other hand we're hoping its going to rain so be prepared for that too

It's going to be different in each state, and the temperatures will vary.  O'Reillys is cool, being a rainforest, but when you walk the tracks you'll warm up.  Cairns might be wet and warm, and Harvey Bay will be good.  You'll have to dress in layers.  Bring summer clothing, a few jackets and some jeans and shorts.  And a hat!  September is a great month - but can still be a bit cold at night sometimes.
