  1. NZ in Sept will be spring with plenty of rain and wind and cold. yup. In terms of money its kinds hard not knowing what you need it for- accomodation etc. To put in perspective a loaf of bread cost NZ$3.50. A beer NZ$6 and so on. Food and accomodation will prob be the biggest expense so id try and suss that out first.

  2. Me? please? I so want to go!

  3. Boomerang Repelant.

Don't bring your baby cause the Dingos will take it.

  4. In NZ for 2/3 months, so I assume you are backpacking? Chilly in NZ spring so in order to fit all in a backpack, here's what I would take.

    7 t-shirts

3 long trousers (1 zip off's if you are feeling optomistic!)

1 skirt (2 if they are light)

    4 socks

    7 knickers

    3 bras

    3 sweaters (1 light, 1 med, 1 thick)

    pashmina (really versatile)

1 coat, light but rainproof like a walking jacket (trespass are having a sale right now!)

    hat, floppy and small.

    sunnies

trainers, flip flops, shoes of choice(for poss evenings out but also walking in cities)

I also took both parts of my drivers licence, a pen knife, notebook and pen, sw radio, hand held mirror, torch, duct tape. Trust me on that last one, its the most versatile item on the planet!

For Oz, if you are in queensland discard the large sweaters and invest in some sarongs and shorts. Insect repellant and suncream are really important. We also bought two large water bottles to keep with us at all times. If you are in Tassie, keep it all but it's still warmer in their summer than the uk summer.

Money question depends on what you are doing. If it is backpacking, you need money for bus fares or train fares, campsites charge per night and we got some smaller ones for $12 per night for a tent all the way up to $30. Just depends on the place. We were really frugal and managed it on about $30A per day but that was extreme and in some really out of the way places

  5. Weather wise it will be summer in Oz during christmas. Depending which part of the world you're coming from and where you're going in OZ will decide what types of clothes to wear.

For example Tasmania is still cold during summer they still have snow on cradle mountain (learned this the hard way and brought summer clothes brrr)

As for money the more the better no matter where you go. Budget appropriately for taxis and travel particularly in and out of airports and tickets for attractions etc

For more info on travelling contact your local travel agent.

  6. SLIP SLOP SLAP

Long sleeved shirt, hat, sun lotion.

You definitely need sun protection out there. It is serious.

    Oh, and condoms.

There are some seriously horny people as well.

    Enjoy!
