What to buy to protect discs from being scratched?

Ok i've just brought a ton of DVD's which are replacing scratched ones. I was thinking of buying some disc protectors to put the discs in, but like cut a whole in it so i could still shove the discs back in they're cases. Any ideas of where to get them from? Or how to prevent scratches?

The best way to avoid scratches on DVDs (or CDs, or vinyl records) is a remarkable process, known as "careful handling".  I have over 1,000 CDs and 250 DVDs - none of them are scratched.

Try the "careful handling" technique; you will be amazed at how little damage you can do...

Well there is nothing really that you can buy to protect it from being scatched you have to take care of if but it has a scratch you can buy some disc clean and it takes the scatches off you can find it at wal mart, best buy places like that

They sell these things at walmart, they're called d-skins, they're this clear plastic sheet that goes over the dvd---you can even put it in your player like that as well and remove it easily.  I have them for my blu-ray disks, and video games-they're great

Careful handling is the only way to prevent scratches.

An ordinary case is fine for keeping discs scratch free.

The only way is to use Disc Boxes. Pay a visit to the shops poundstretcher or instore.

If you don't have the cases, I'd suggest the soft vinyl sleeves that are used for computer software disks....these can be attached to the ring binders found in most notebook binders, and that way you can organize them to take up a lot less space and categorize them too....

Get out the horror book, we're watching horror tonight !

Plus they don't cost you and arm and a leg, like in that scary movie.....
