What to by an 11 yr old boy for bday?

My friends son's bday is this weekend and my son and him are the same age but night and day with likes.. what is the "hot" gift this year for 11 yr olds.. he is kinda immature for his age I guess is the best way to put it.. This would be easy if he was into things like my son ( hotwheel collecting, hockey, motocross) but he isn't he actually like toys. I know that sounds stupid.. help??

A gift card will be a hit. My grand daughter got several at her party.(11th). She loved them and was thrilled to pick her own gifts. You can get one for a department store or for a video shop. Even an ice cream place, skating rink, bowling alley would work. All those would work for our 11 y/o.

It is hard to say did you try asking his mother for ideas.

When we were little my mom's family always did a gift exchange by drawing names. My mom would call and ask the mom what to get for the kids.

Buying someone elses child the "hot" toy of the year for whatever age should be left up to the childs parents not a friends parents. Ask the kids mom what he likes. If he doesnt like toys, ask what size of clothes he wears. Or you could just give him a card with like $10 in it.
