What to consider in choosing lawn tennis racket?

My son, 16 years of age is interested to join in the lawn tennis offered as one of their school activities. What should I buy for him as a starter. How much doe a good quality racket cost?

Then just look under "rackets". I would recommend the Babolat Pure Drive (used by Andy Roddick), or the Babolat AeroPro Drive with Cortex (used by Rafael Nadal). I recommend Babolat rackets all the time. They cost around $185-200 for one racket. Totally worth it! But you can also buy the same type of racket but they are junior rackets, which cost about $100.
