What to do? If you had to relocate due to threat of lethal violence, no help from the law, where would you go?

You need to work off the books, provide a stable environment for a teenager, and care for elderly parent- where would you go? You have to make sure you can't be traced, so no credit cards and no job on the books. Domestic violence group can offer minimal help and the law is useless.

Wow...that is a very difficult choice but I think I would say a big city.  Blend in....

Oregon.  Plenty of space to hide in, and a bunch of little town that has some of the friendliest people around.  You may have to get use to a small town lifestyle but it's a good hideout.  And once you get to know some of them, they will protect you more than the cops will.
