  1. Swimming is a great sport to join so good choice!!

    1. The only way to decrease you times is to work really hard everyday, you have to push yourself beyond your comfort zone everyday.

    2. Breathing make sure that you do not have any type of kink in your stroke when you breathe nothing should stop and dont stop kicking either when you breathe, also try to breathe bilaterally, which means every three or every five.

    3. There really is no specific diet that you need except for before a meet. NEVER eat dry jello or pure sugar its just a wives tale that it works, it really makes you crash. Eat fruits, and lots, and lots, of pastas, breads, and anything with carbs in it carbs are very good for your body. THe night before a meet is when you eat meat. Dont eat meat the day of a meet because it is very hard for your body to digest so you use all of your energy digesting.

    4. For your stroke I would reccomend if it is possible to go to a local health club and try to find a personal instructor they really help, right now I am getting coached by Kritsy Kowal and it is awesome and helps a lot to get private lessons. But if that is not possible then order instrucational dvds on the internet they can really help to but make sure they are reliable.

    5. Take a gatorade or water bottle to every practice, also only buy goggles where the end of the strap is tied at the back, not the ones that stick out in the front.

these are some cute bathing suits that are really popular in swimming and are cheap.

These are swim caps i reccomend sillicone they stay on better and dont pull your hair and I also reccomend solids. One thing make sure the seam on your cap is in line with the bone in your nose lots of people put them on the wrong way.
