What to do about Make up artist?

I am getting married at 7:00pm. My make up artist said she could do my make up at 2:00pm the day of the wedding. So I made appointments around that. I am getting my hair done at 1:00pm and getting dressed at 4:00pm. Anyway, today she let me know that she can't do my make up until 4:00pm because another client's time got pushed back. What do I do? I get married in 25 days! It is too short of a notice to find someone else. Is 4:00pm fine? Or is it cutting it too close????

  1. it is always better to have extra time then less time on your hands... i say if you want find another and tell her for 2 pm only that way if anything happens with the hair or dress you have more time to solve mini problems along the way.. and i thi nk 25 days is a lot of time.. its almost a month!!

  2. You had mentioned that you aren't getting dressed until 4:00 pm, you should be fine. Have her do up your makeup and then get dressed. You don't want to have your makeup done too early on any way.

  3. That's fine!!!  IMO, 2:00 is WAY too early.

  4. Just wondering why you are getting dressed at 4 for a 7 wedding???

If you plan on doing this, you won't be able to sit for 3 hours before the wedding (as you don't want your dress to wrinkle).

    Just a thought.

Make up at 4 sounds fine.

  5. It depends on what other appointments you made. 4 pm should be fine. At least your make-up will look more fresh.

  6. i think 4pm is fine.. you plan to sit around in the makeup for 5 hrs?!.. probably wont look fresh when its time for pics.. so i think the 4 pm is better

  7. I think 4pm is fine.  Usually makeup should only take anywhere between 30min to an hour depending on what you are having done. (airbrush vs creme for example). Plus with all the other things you have to do that day (such as get ready...which is a task =) )  some of the makeup can sweat off, so as others have said...4pm is better anyway.  Congrats and have a fun wedding! =)

  8. I think 4pm is waaayy better than 2pm, you makeup will look more fresher, you can get dressed after that.

  9. Four would actually be much better for you because of the other details and possibility of fading, running mascara, etc etc...I suggest make-up close to the last thing for that reason. You want to glow on that wonderful day.But if you feel uneasy then you do know that Belk offers free wedding day make up and in return you should purchase a couple products from her or at least tip her. (well I would tip her) Im not a Belk sales consultant I have just researched the same things myself. Have a Wonderful Wedding and Blessed Life!

  10. When are you scheduling your first pictures?  Where will you be having the makeup done?  Are you going to a salon or will she come to you?

If she comes to you, then that should be fine.  It will also give you extra time for your hair.
