Question:

What to do about Sony Vegas' problem with .m2ts files?

Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 seems to be very particular about importing the AVCHD files with extensions like .m2ts, .mts and .m2t. In other words, it sometimes will, but prefers not to. But it's supposed to be able to. I have Windows XP.

Any new info about this issue? Thanks.

  1. VCHD Video Converter-a must-have program for Sony, Panasonic, JVC and Hitachi camcorder users to convert the video types: MTS and M2TS movie files. You can get the new video from AVCHD(.mts, .m2ts) to AVI, WMV, MPEG, ASF, VOB, 3GP, RM, RMVB, MKV, FLV, SWF, MOV, MP4, M4V, DV, and extract the audio track from AVCHD to MP3, WAV, WMA, M4A, AIFF files.
