Someone very generously gave me a Nike Swift Fullbody Suit-- http://www.allamericanswim.com/nike-swift-womens-full-body-p-5987.html

I was ABSOLUTELY thrilled, and immediately tried it on. But it was a hot day and I had a hard time getting it on. I ended up RIPPING A HOLE in the back of the suit.

I realize trying it on then was extremely stupid, but now I have a problem. If I wear the suit with a hole in it, the giftgiver will think I'm irresponsible, and if I don't wear it, they will be offended.

How do I fix a ripped suit?? PLEASE RESPOND ASAP!

  1. You can't really fix it due to the stretchy fabric it was made out of :/

Had they worn it before? On the site, they recommend wearing it 5 or less times. The suit may also have been too small for you. They should understand your problem if you tell them about it. Responsibility doesn't really have anything to do with this accident, as it was truly an accident.

  2. First off calm down, It's going to be alright you have to think resonably. humans make mistakes and the giftgiver may be frustrated but I doubt they would strangle you! Then again I would recommend that I myself being a competitve swimmer for 9 years and have had my fair share of wardrobe malfunctions I would recommend the attempt of fixing it. Hopefully you know how to sew try stiching the the hole in an identical color to the fabric do not cinch too hard or you run the risk of furtherly damaging it1 Then apply some seam sealent not allowing the wear and tear of water to tear appart your seam again heres this product that should work just fine (http://www.profabrics.co.uk/shop/show_pr...   I hope this works! Best of luck!
