What to do about acting ??

Question

hi .. okay i really want to be an actress... i've taken classes after Begging my parents 11325984527 timess ! after the classes i don't know what to do next..

Headshots are too exspensive and i can't go alone & my parents wouldn't take me so is a school picture okay ?

I can't get into theater in my town because it's really bad & my school doesn't have theater

I'm not even gunna ask my parents about agents and stuff because they would probably laugh at me !

The only casting calls i get are for people not my type meaning not the right age or ethnicity or even gender -i've gone to one to be an extra but i wasn't even the right type it was for a middle schooler & im in highschool ( i do look young though )

I can't really do anything else so should i just wait till im 18 and do everything myself ?

i want to go to college for acting in NY so that would be good right ?

the only thing is i don't want to wait so long to get things going ! ..

any suggestions ?

Whew! You are in a bind. Where did you take classes? YOu are going to have to find a way to be in plays, even if you have to produce them with a couple of friends. A school pic is ok for a while. But you cant go to an audition because your parents will have to go with you and sign for you if you happen to get work.  Web sites are useless for the most part. You are going to have to get a job and save money for your acting and when you are 18 get the heck out of there.  YOu probably should start in a Community College, because the really good colleges for acting will want you to audition and to have a resume of experience and training.  There are other good places to go to college for acting besides NY.  Looks like the only thing you can do is to read all the plays you can, including Shakespeare, and read a few carefully selected books. Well your in the same condition as me but i'm only 12. I don't know either what i should do so we are kinda sorta alike. getting agents and headshots are exspensive but you might be able to go to a theater school and many of their staff members can suggest you to an agent. Like i've met an agent that got Frankie Muneze started.(i realy don't know how to spell his name) But this is a tip from my heart that even if friends, parents, old people, and others put you down, Don't ever give up on your HOPE'S. my parents don't want me to act but i still keep trying.
