What to do about blisters from running???

i use insoles and i just started cross country today and the arch of my foot has a blister, it has done this before, but is there a way i can relieve the pain until a callous forms.

  1. I put a band-aid over the blister to protect it.  I take care not to let them pop, because they hurt worse (the fluid is a cushion, actually) and the loose skin from the popped blister is susceptible to further tearing, making a larger wound.


  2. Try mole skin.  You can get it at EMS. Body glide will help prevent blisters.

  3. I usually pop my blisters. its hurts at first but after its popped it feels a lot better. just try popping it with a sterile needle and then putting some neosporin on it. cover it with a bandaid and you should be ready to run by tomorrow.

  4. Put a band-aid on it to stop the rubbing.

    When the rubbing stops the pain usually goes with it.
