  1. I have pets outside and used a powder in a can I shook over the leaves.  I think as you first apply it the can says to keep kids & animals away, but a month later, bugs are still gone and we feed the scrap pieces to our horses & they are ok (so far ha).

  2. worms are good

  3. You need the worms to aeriate your soil. They themselves will not be eating your plants. It you are overrun with them you could encourage bird feeding - keep feeders well high so pets cannot attack birds.

The birds will feed on worms and also snails, slugs, greenfly, blackfly, whitefly etc which DO destroy your plants.

Egg shells, clean & crushed, around the base of a plant will stop slugs & snails from attack.

Slug pellets, if you have pets, will harm them as well as birds.

    Good luck. h
