What do I do about all the Maple leaf meats i have? The family owned and operated grocery store where I shop Said that they didn't carry a lot of the bad meats. But how can I be sure? I really find it hard to believe that a company as big as Maple Leaf could have this trouble,I an a person who has to have meat and potatoes at least 4 times a week, and I am now scared to eat any meats. Was hot dogs and bologna on the call back? Thanks to everyone.

  1. Go to cbc.ca or maple leaf foods website for a complete list and put your mind at ease.

  2. First of all, it was not only MAPLE LEAF meats that were involved in the recall.  ANY product that was processed in the plant in North York can be affected.  This means Schneiders, Shopys, Sure Slice and others.  There are 200 products now listed.  The way to check is to look near the expiry date.  If it says 97B anywhere near there get rid of it.  If you bought the meat at a deli and it is no longer in its original container you might want to get rid of it to be on the safe side.  Bologna is one of the meats that was recalled.  You might want to go to the Maple Leaf Canada web site to see what products are listed.  There were different expiry dates on the different products so it is best to check the site.

    I hope this helps.
