What to do about drama class..? Please answer?

I'm a junior and, due to being put in a class I had already taken freshmen year, I had to be changed to another class; which turned out to be drama. Not only is it drama I, meaning my class is full of loud, obnoxious freshmen that don't pay attention to the teacher, but I just found out today that as being a part of the drama class, I HAVE to participate in the fall festival Shakespeare play (I can't act if my life depended on it) or I'll fail the course, and I need this credit.

Anyway, that's not really the bad part, I'm sure being in a drama class I'll learn a few skills, but I need to be able to stay after school until 6:30 nearly every day in the week once the play gets closer for reherseal; which I just can't do. I have two AP classes, which means if I don't get home until 7 let's say, I'll need to eat, clean, do laundry, shower, and have nearly two hours of homework. I also have work which I haven't found out how I'm going to get around that.

I just don't know what to do. You don't go to the reherseals, you fail the class. I can't switch out of the class as I already switched it once already, and I can't just blow it off because I don't want to fail, but I really need to find a way to balance my time and I just don't know how to.

  1. u need some serious consuling dude... like dang u have a stressful life!!

  2. Drama is an elective course. SO you do not have to participate in it. Schedule an appointment with your school counselor. Explain your situation and see if she can get you switched. It would help to have one of your parents come an talk with to the counselor as well. It has been a while since I was in high school, but I know there is another elective you can take instead of drama.

  3. you know what, learn to love what you re doing even if it get s you upset, trust me that the only way to be confortable

  4. First, your class. If you can't act, I'm sure that you can do something else, like stage crew. Ask your drama teacher.

If you have free time in school, like a study hall, work on some of your homework there. That seems to be getting in your way. Do it in your spare free time to see how much you can get done. Have you considered taking a shower in the morning? I'm sure that would help you a lot. Could your laundry on the weekends maybe? You can try to.

Also, try to work out with your boss a late-night schedule so that you have a little time to eat, then work for a few hours, then come home. I'm sure you could work something out, your boss should realize that you're in school.

Hope I helped- that's what I would do!
