Gross. I've noticed about a handful of very tiny spiders crawling on the walls in the upper level of my house. They look like babies. But tonight, about 5 mins ago there was a HUGE (I might be exaggerating a bit because I hate spiders) brown spider crawling on my wall behind my desk. I flew out of my chair and caught it in a cup. I cant tell what kind of spider it is, but its the size of a nickel and kind of shiny. Anyways, how can I de-spider my house?! I dont have A/C and it has been pretty hot here in CA so I have my windows open at night, but only on the top floor. Can they be crawling in through the attic space, windows? Pleas help me, please. Thank you

  1. Go out for the weekend and set off a bug bomb in each level of your house.

Make sure you remove your pets from the house and you get rid of any food (ex, fruits) that would normally sit out.

  2. You *could* get an exterminator...or, you could buy a flock of quails, or perhaps geckos, invite some guests over, pop a bottle of champagne, sit back and enjoy nature at it's grusome finest...

  3. They are spiders they get in anywhere, a roach bomb kills spiders the ones you get from the supermarket. or get screens on your windows if you have trees they may be coming from, or fumigate the room, or fumigate the attic or go for the flip flops.

  4. leave them alone! they won't hurt you. they are helpful and serve a purpose. especially in the summer when flies are out in full force. they will only stick around as long as there is a food source (bugs, not you). they're doing you a favor. don't be such a girl!!!

  5. yipers move out!

  6. The little ones could be newly hatched babies. To prevent more bunches of babies, it's a good idea to clean/sweep the outside of your house seasonally to get rid of eggs. As for the big ones, we use a spider catcher. Easier than a cup and less toxic than a pesticide. We let them outside were they can continue to eat other bugs. http://www.leevalley.com/garden/page.asp...

I wouldn't consider those sightings to be worthy of extreme measures yet.

  7. EXTERMINATOR!

  8. Call an Exterminator

  9. i have an idea!!!

get out, move, find another place to live, RUN!!!!!!!

  10. get a spray bottle and put about a third of white vinegar in it and the other two-thirds full of water and spray it in the corners of the ceiling and whatnot, they really hate it and you wont see them anytime soon.

I saw it on an infomercial one late night (:

  11. Call your friendly neighborhood spiderman

  12. NEVER NEVER NEVER KILL A SPIDER!

if you want to know what to do about spiders...LEAVE THEM ALONE!

1.) Spiders kill bugs and moths....whats worse? having maggots and flies and bugs? or spiders? BUGS!

2.) spiders will not directly harm humans unless they are provoked...so why do you need to instigate them?

3.) if spiders kill bugs, patrol your house for bugs, keep your home free of flies, moths, beetles, flies...why would you want to get rid of them? they are helping you.

just because they are creepy crawlies and may look ugly, they serve you a purpose and they will not hurt you unless you go crazy trying to hurt them...they are a gift from nature, an intelligent, wonderful creature. Respect them, and if you see one, just catch him and put him outside.

  13. Well try over the counter insect killer AND call the exterminator or just call the exterminator...it might be costly

  14. keep the windows shut at night thats prob how they get in!!!

  15. >Citronella and lemon eucalyptus are very good to get rid of spiders as they do not like the acid in the citrus.

    >Spray straight 5% white distilled vinegar with a teaspoon of coconut oil to help remove and help prevent spider webs.
