What to do about inner ear problem and constant fatigue?

I have been to doctors several times about this. Chronic sinus congestion causing inner ear problems making me off-balance, lightheaded, and extremely tired and weak. Doctor tried methylprednisone (Steroid) and Xyzal (antihistamine). Neither has worked. Seeing an allergist next week, but don't anticipate any short-term relief. Any thoughts? I desperately need to feel better soon. This has been going on for months now. Alternatives?

  1. I've had a lot of sinus problems, too. Sometimes if there's a lot of excess mucus in your sinuses that can cause vertigo, which appears to be happening to you. Although it's a bit extreme, surgery can open your airways and help mucus to drain properly. Your doctor might also prescribe a diuretic (water pills) because of the extra fluid in your inner ear. Seeing an allergist could help you immensely as he/she might be able to give you a medication that helps any allergies you have and clears up your sinuses. Good luck!

  2. try the ear candles that you can buy at the health food store - they work great.  just follow the instructions.

  3. when i have and ear infection i sautee 1/2 and onion and wrap it in a warm moist cloth and lay with it on my ear that hurts laying with the ear in pain down- the vapors and heat rise into the infected ear and drain it really well-i have never had to be on antibiotics for an ear infection since i learned this and now i do it to my kids
