What to do about this? I'm getting a "sharing violation" notice while trying to erase or even move my files on my RCA MP3 player.
I'm using a Windows 2000 Pro OS w/ P4 2.0GHz 1GB RAM 160GB HDD with USB connections to the MP3 Player which is a RCA Lyra 1GB model.
I'm assuming it's either a spyware program messing me up or, more likely, it's a file association with one of my audio/video programs (i.e. WinAmp, GOM Player, and VLC) that won't allow me to edit or remove files it deems significant and protected. I got a sneaky suspicion about WinAmp on this one. A good program that has a few bugs there.
Just so you know, I defragment my hard drive once a week like clockwork, so I don't think that is the problem. How do I fix this annoying thing other than formatting the MP3 player? I have Search and Destroy available if needed, and I think I know how to do Safe Mode, not totally sure, but it has to do w/ rebooting the system and hitting a Function key.
