What to do alone with little money on a sunny monday afternoon?

Bike! To a fruit shake place. Then bike home! Go with a group of people, that would be fun!

I guess it depends on what you mean by "very little money."  Here is the cheapest thing I can think of, takes little to no money and is one of my favorite ways to spend a day.  

I would packing a lunch and go to a park I hadn't visited before.  I would pack a blanket and a good book as well as my digital camera and I would take a bunch of nature pictures from different perspectives, then find some lovely spot with dappled sun and sit and read the book.  I would personally choose something in the "great books" or "great authors" category, but you should choose whatever strikes your fancy.  I would munch on the food I brought, drink water and enjoy reading an intriguing book in nature.  

If you have a little more money, go ahead and buy a book, maybe of nature poems or nature writing.  Anything by Mary Oliver is fantastic when it comes to nature poems.  Her poem Wild Geese is wonderful, and also one about a black walnut tree that I don't remember the title of.  If you have even more money, go ahead and buy your lunch on the way, stopping somewhere for food you hadn't been to before, or choosing something from a menu that you wouldn't ordinarily order but seems intriguing.  

Consider turning your phone off, or at least turning off the ringer.  It feels good to drop out grid for a little while.

Go for a nice long walk.. explore your neighborhood.  Or take a ride to a local museum (they're usually free and air conditioned).  Or go to a park with a blanket and some lunch and read a book.  That's what I'd do if I wasn't stuck in an office right now... {{sigh}}
