  1. Dust off your favorite board games and let the laughter roll! There are a slew of silly and entertaining board games on the market.

Blindfold each participant and have her name the item or food being placed under her nose. Use items such as chocolate, vanilla extract, a flower, toothpaste, peanut butter, shampoo - things with distinctive odors.

This is a cute pajama party game. Prompt guests to bring a pair of slippers for this contest. Each guest models a pair of slippers for the judges. Select the ugliest, oldest, cutest, prettiest, and funniest. Adult version - judge the cutest, ugliest, prettiest, biggest, and funniest feet and toes!

  2. There's lots you can do!

Set up an ice cream bar!  Get chocolate, vanilla, strawberry ice cream and whatever favorites you have and some toppings.  Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and marachino cherries, and have everyone make their own sundaes.  You can get the plastic sundae glasses at the dollar store or the waffle cone bowls at the grocery store.

You can play the games like would you rather and what if.  Ask your friends to each come up with 5 questions, some fun and silly and others serious and then decide if you're all  going to answer them or put them in a hat and only answer those you choose.  Some examples are:

If you could have one super power, what would you choose, and what would you do with it?

If you could spy on one person for a day, seeing and hearing all they say and day, but they have no clue you're there, who would you choose and why?

Would you rather go somewhere where NO one speaks English, but they treat you like royalty, or somewhere where everyone speaks English, but they treat you rudely, where would you go?

Would you rather go somewhere you hate with those you love, or somewhere you love all alone, by yourself?

If you could possess any talent that you don't already have, what would you want and why?

I'm sure you and your friends can come up with SO many more and better ones!

There's a game where you all stand in a circle and toss around a ball, it doesn't matter what order, the object is to keep the ball in the air, whoever drops it is out, and the last person standing wins!

Another game is pass the orange, or the ball.  Again, everyone stands in a circle with their hands either at their side or behind their backs, but they can NOT use their hands!!!  You take the ball/orange and put it under your chin and pass it using it ONLY your chin and the person taking it uses ONLY her chin to take it!  Whoever drops it is out, and again, the last person standing wins!  This game is hysterical to both play and watch!  You pass the ball with your chin and take it with your chin and you keep going around the circle until there's one person left standing!

You can also play Twister, charades, and board games.  You can watch movies and make sure everyone has their own bucket of popcorn during the movie.

Get a pinata!  Go to the party store and find one that you like and then in the same aisle there should be pinata filler and it's just that, big bags of candy to fill it with.  You can get the one that you pull the strings to open which are still fun.  They'll still be enough room to add your own favorites.  Just make sure sure to take a sharpie marker on a ziploc bag and write your friends' names on the bags so no one is fighting over whose bag is whose at the end of the party and belive me this does happen and simply writing names on bags BEFORE doing the pinata can solve this problem before it happens!!

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party and a very Happy Birthday!!

  11. My daughter did this with her Jenga game, you know the block stacking game where you have to pull blocks out without making the whole stack fall down? Well, she wrote little fun things on each block that the person has to do when they pull it out. Like for instance, "run outside and crow like a rooster for 1 minute", or "tell everyone the most embarrassing thing your dad does." I personally liked the one where the person had to find Maggie's mom and give her a big hug! Have your mom help you write them, I'll bet she can think of some really fun and embarrassing ones!

  12. Taboo is a lot of fun. Also try Mafia as that can get the whole group of people involved.
