  1. well in cobo san lucas go on a snokling trip that goes also to a private island really fun!!!!!!!

in Mazatlan is a really good time to go shopping and in puerto vallarta go swimming with the dophins

    i

  2. if your really adventures in Mazatlan rent a golf cart at the pier and do your own tour or the city ..you will have a real tail to tell.. Cabo has nice beaches and a good place to para sail .

  3. Whenever you get to a port stop and regardless of which cruise line you are free to get off of the ship (multiple times if you want and there is enough port time) and do whatever you want.  Things like go shopping, browse around the market and/or city, or just stay on ship and enjoy have all of the pols, spas, the gym , and deck chairs to yourself.

Now you can do tours on your own or pay for the tours that the ship has.  I don't know which cruise line you are going on but regardless you can look at the tours available right on line on that cruise line's web site and reserve them OR use the ideas and book your own tours when you get to the port (or on line).

If you are going on NCL, go to this web site and look at the tours available in each port:  http://www.ncl.com/nclweb/shorexLanding....

If you are going on Royal Caribbean, use this web link:  http://www.royalcaribbean.com/findacruis...

If you are going on Princess, use this web site:

When we did our Mexico cruise we did the city tours.  In Cabo we went to a beach hotel to see the facilities and the view of Cabo, then on a tour of a town square, a cactus farm, and then back to town and did some shopping in the Market.   But Cabo has a lot of water related activities if you want things like Jet ski, Sea Kayaking, snorkel, or horse back riding.

Or , you can try to reserve on your own:  http://www.cabosanlucas.net/tours/index....

In Puerto Vallarta we did a tour that first went to a tequila factory for a  tour and tasting.  But here again, there are many other more action oriented things to do shown on the web sites.  Or, book your own: http://www.asociacionhotelesvallarta.com...

Our Mexico cruise went to Acapulco rather than Mazatlan so I cannot suggest anything there.  But just look at the tours available on line.  Or book your own tours:  http://www.gomazatlan.com/things-to-do-m...

  4. in Maz, check out Randi's Happy Horses - very cool excursion with horseback riding on Stone Island.  I've done it twice!

  5. Once you book your cruise, go onto their website and look up their shore excursions.  Read them and choose whatever sounds the best to you.  To avoid disappointment, book before you get on the ship.  If you still don't know, go to the Shore Excursion desk or talk and take their advice.  In Mexico, I would stay with the cruise's trips for safety.  If anything goes wrong, they know where you are and WILL NOT leave port without you.  If you go out on your own and you don't make it back in time, they can (and we've seen it happen) leave without you.  You have to pay a water taxi to get yourself back on the ship.
