What to do at work........?

when you have no work at all anymore. how do you keep your self busy and to pass time?

filing, dusting, cleaning, sort out the stationery cupboard, sort out e-mails, delete old documents no longer needed - this is all when the boss is in the office. When the boss is away then I am usually visiting SA Yahoo.....welcome back by the way.

There is nothing wrong with getting paid to do nothing at all (the rich swear by it).

I suggest spending your time on the internet.

I read and I study short courses. I don't set my goals too high and get frustrated.I try and keep focused positively.

Definately pretend that you are working. Because if your bosses see you not working, they'll think that you do not have enough work and give you more.

Instead of realising that hey, maybe today you finished early.

As for pretending to work. I don't know what you do, but I used to be a stock controller. I used to have this big walk in fridge that I had to count, so I used to go put it off and sit in there and read my book :)

tidy the files

reorganise / recover / relabel files

wipe down the coffee/ tea section

shake all the crumbs out of your keyboard, scrape the crusty stuff off the bottom of your mouse.

reorganise your inbox

empty out your top drawer and get rid of dried up markers/pens

put all the stray paperclips/ elastic bands in a plastic container/bag

file loose business cards

throw away plastic forks/straws/serviettes in your bottom drawer

Lucky you, getting paid for doing nothing. When I am at work, my boss want to see some results before I go home after 4 or 5 hours. That means I work flat out, no breaks, definitely no pc.  Is there no one to talk to? Phone Inno and chat to her!
