  1. breathe what to do to stay calm breathe if you don't take deep breaths then you will get mad best answer please

  2. Eat carbs such as pasta and drink plenty of water. Arrive about 30 mins before the match to make sure you are in time for pre match stuff. Keep calm with some indian breathing techniques located throughout the web, trust me they will help. Also do some push ups and sit ups to make sure you can go the distance and make it one for the ages.

  3. Don't do push ups right before a tournament, you don't need the stress on your shoulders.  Just make sure you stretch well and drink a lot - stick to pasta the night before, and safe easy-on-the-stomach foods leading up to the event.  Hydrate.

What time you should arrive depends entirely on when the tournament starts; 30-60 minutes in advance is a good rule of thumb, but your tourney might have specific rules about that.

For staying calm... if you lack confidence and get antsy about playing matches, you shouldn't be playing in competitive tournaments.  Believe in yourself, have fun, and don't concentrate TOO much on winning - you aren't saving the world, you're playing tennis.

    Good luck!
