I was fixing the plunger on the inside of the toilet and I bumped into the overflow by accident. It seems to have broke off. Is there any way to replace it?

  1. Nothing!

Why should you? It's not done you any favours.

  2. This depends on where it broke. If it broke with at least a 1/2 inch of pipe left on the end that's attached to the toilet then you can get away with using a PVC coupling to put the 2 pieces back together, they'll cost you all of .30 cents plus 2 bucks for a little tube of water tight sealer for PVC.

If it broke off closer to the main part then you'll have to get a replacement kit from a store like Home Depot or Ace Hardware;  they'll cost you around 15-20 bucks.

  3. Yes. You can get a whole toilet repair kit to replace everything in the tank for about $15 at home improvement stores. Just note the brand of toilet and get the correct kit.

  4.

      go to the hardware store

    get a new one

  5. Exact same thing happened to me.  Replacing the entire overflow pipe looked like a lot of work so I actually just emptied the reservoir dried everything really good and super glued it back in place let it dry overnight.  Filled it with water in the morning and it worked fine, this held for at least 6 months but I sold that home years ago so not sure about more long term then that.
