My 2 1/2 month old is a little bit stuffy, but has no symptoms of anything else like a cold or allergies. My question is what can I do for him? How can I know for sure it's not something semi-serious?

  1. If he doesn't have a fever, if his snot is not bright green or yellow....he just has the sniffles or allergies.  Thick or bright green or yellow means sinus infection.  Sit in the bathroom with the shower on hot....read him a story while he soaks up the steam.  Then put a few drops of saline drops in his nose (you can get this at the drug store or even grocery stores carry it).

  2. You could also get one of those vaporizers to put near the baby's bed while he sleeps.  That might help too.

  3. you can take a bit of water with a small amount of salt mixed in or saline water and use a dropper and put a few drops in the nose, one side at a time, always worked for my baby girl
