What to do for an 80's theme party?

Sounds like a cool party, the 80s rocked!  For the music, you probably should play a lot of great new wave, pop, and rock songs from that period. (depending on your tastes)  Here's some good 80s songs to consider:

Sounds like a lot of fun!  Get an 80's CD or burn a bunch of tunes to play....i.e. Guns 'N Roses, 'breakfast club' soundtrack.  That should create a nice atmosphere just in itself.

Everybody obviously has to do the dress of the 80's which is self explanatory.  I don't think decorations are really needed as most party decorations have stayed the same for years...right? Unless there's something significant from the 80's that might be good?   Have fun.  Good luck.

Find an old poster of Madonna dressed in all her 80's glory, and you could build an entire theme off that!!

Music - Madonna, Duran Duran, Spandeau Ballet, U2, Boy George/The Culture Club (another theme helper)

oh I love the 80's...wish it would make a comeback.

They have all kinds of 80's cd's at any place they sell music, or make your own cd if you can...some good songs are Jessies Girl by Rick Springfield, Girls Just want to have fun...Cindy Lauper

Some older Madonna songs, Michael Jackson songs.

As for decorations, I would get some bright poster paper and cut it into circles and hang it on the wall. They had some bad art in the 80's, and bright colors were the thing. :)
