  1. dublin zoo is great for kids! there is so much to do and there is a petting zoo there too so id say that would be a perfect day trip!

  2. Try heading out to Dingle and from there you can go to the Blasket Islands if you want.  There is a great chance you will see dolphins on the ferry ride and you may even see Fungi the resident dolphin.  Here is a site that may help, http://www.dingle-peninsula.ie/activitie...

  3. pack up a picnic, put in some games stuff and look for a beach nearby and have a great day interacting with your child(no cash outlay and so much better for you all)

  4. Go to Kilbarack, great craic.

  5. Athlone. there's the drama festival on now for the adults, the weathers lovely, glendeer pet farm(it's like a mini-zoo with a playground, old Irish cottage and it is really cool for kids) for the kids and the lakes great in this heat. there's the viking boat, the castle.....it's all good just come!
