My parents' 30th wedding anniversary is this coming Tuesday! It kind of slipped my mind with so much going on. I've never done anything for my parents' anniversary and I would like to do something special. I just lost my job so I can't do anything too special if you know what I mean. Any ideas? I know the traditional gift is pearl. Since the big day is a Tuesday should we celebrate then or wait until next weekend to celebrate, or both? I have no clue what to do for them? Have a party? Have a party at a restaurant? Send them on a mini vaca? Ideas please!

  1. If they're very social and have a large group of friends, throw them a party in your home (so that you can clean up and control the event). I'm sure your parents have anniversary plans, so you should probably let them know about the party in advance. A surprise anniversary party is fun, but you'll have to fish for information from them. So, whatcha planning for your anniversary, Dad? If they don't socialize a lot, a gift certificate to a nice restaurant or a small restaurant gathering of close friends and family would be really nice.
