I've been selling something on ebay recently, and have sold 7 of these items. None of them have decided to pay me as of yet. Some are new members and some aren't. How do I get paid for this? How long is the wait time before one should report an unpaid item? I've sent congratulation messages, invoices and then are u paying messages to all 7 parties and not even a response. what to do? Any tips or suggestions?

  1. EBay has some guidelines on how you can report an unpaid item and cancel a sale.  You can follow this link and read about it.

  2. winning bidders on ebay have 7 days to pay before you can take action against them. they are not required to contact you before the 7 days is over.

  3. You should give them at least 3 business days to pay you. This is ebay's policy. If they don't pay, report them as "non-paying bidders" to ebay. There is often not much else you can do aside from that except relist the item and hope the next bidder decides to pay you.

In the future: You can set up your account so that those with negative feedback or less than 2 feedback cannot bid on your items. You can also set it up so that it's paypal only, and the bidder MUST submit payment  before the auction is allowed to close. I highly recommend doing this... that way if they can't pay, the auction continues on and other people can bid.

    Good luck.

  4. You should have 5-7 days for someone to reply. I would also make sure that your profile is set up correctly with your proper email address.
