My husband is a police officer and was just promoted to corporal today! We are so excited! I'm wondering what I could do for him to celebrate. I could do without the s*x jokes please! I've thought of those things already. LOL

  1. First off, lock up your credit cards!!  A promotion doesn't always come with a pay raise!!

How about a nice homecooked dinner and a bottle of wine?? Or maybe treat him to something he really enjoys?? (Baseball game, football tickets....)

  2. Buy him something semi-expensive that he's always wanted. Or cook him his favorite meal. If he likes family, throw him a party. It depends on his personality and what he likes.

  3. I love to have shiny boots and I mean mirror shiny - I would love my wife to pay for my boots to be professionally shined if I got promoted.

Congrats to your husband by the way

  4. romantic candle lit dinner for two, simple and relaxing, maybe hire someone to cook and serve

  5. buy him something ... bigger donuts maybe ? or a bigger gun ?

joking ... just go out and celebrate.

  6. A  gift certificate to Dunkin Donuts...

  7. Go to thingsremembered and get him something nice.

Thats what I love to do.

  8. ...sorry had to erase long answer after I read the part about no sexual comments

  9. Well do you mean  just you  guys  or  small family  group.?   Make  a  memory  photo posterboard /book  of  his   years.  It  will be  interesting  to all to  see how  he  changed  through  the  years. Men  at  first  act  like  they arent interested in it  but  later  will be.  And  its  something  to keep a  lifetime.

Just  for you  two  guys  just  tell him you are  so  proud  of  him, put on  his  favorite  perfume  and  take it  from  there  with  a  special evening  togeather  out or  home.

  10. Something for his mustache?

  11. How about a weekend getaway?

  12. I would suggest surprising him with dinner at his favorite fancy restaurant and then follow it with a show or activity that he really likes doing... but don't tell him where you are going until he gets there. And if you just so happen to have a certain route to get to that place, take a different one to throw him off. OR tell him that he can pick where ever he wants to go and let the night be all about him. Make the night all about how proud you are about his accomplishments at work. I hope this helps!
