Any type of over the counter sunburn cream will help, if you are blistering you may want to get prescription strength sunburn cream.  Also use aloe vera lotion, it has anti-inflammatory properties that help shorten the duration of the redness and pain and keep the skin from getting dry.  Drink lots of water to prevent dehydration and avoid the sun till you are better.

I had it once and so did my brother. My parents put us in a room with all the windows closed so no more light could get in and make us itchy. Then we were supposed to lay on the bed with the fan on. I was on my tummy cause it hurt less but whatever works for you. Every like 30 min someone rubbed aloe vera on us so our skin didnt hurt as much. In about 3 days i was better.
