  1. It took my father 8 years to win his workmans comp case.  Get a lawyer who specializes in these kind of cases.

  2. It depends on your state.  It sounds like you were sent to a company doctor.  You might look into getting a lawyer.

  3. Why would the doctor stall your case for insurance reasons?  If the doctor is the doctor you chose than it would be the adjusters problem with your doctor.

But if it's a workers compensation doctor there wouldn't be any reason for them to stall.  Their job is to get you back to work as soon as possible. It doesn't make sense for a work comp doctor to stall the process.

It looks like that your in the middle of conservative treatment.  Without knowing the details of your case it's likely the doctors want to make sure what is wrong with you.  Such as possible nerve damage. It doesn't hurt to call your adjuster and ask them what is going on with the claim. If your itching to get back to work than the doctor and the adjuster needs to get back on the same page.

You are entitled to an attorney.  Some attorney's slow the claim process down even slower while other will make it go faster.  But if your claim is accepted I don't see why you should bring in an attorney just to make everything more hectic than it already is.
