What to do if standard PS/2 keyboard starts having wrong letters on different keys on vista ???

i have had the keyboard for several months without fault and have not spilled food or drink on it and the language is fine .

  1. It sounds like the circuit board in the keyboard is having problems and you may need to replace the whole keyboard. Have other keyboards had the same problem?  


  2. If it's a QWERTY keyboard it's setup is wrong.

    Assuming you are in the UK > Control Panel > Regional & Languages > On the first page change the top drop down to English (UK) > Location at the bottom to United Kingdom > Advanced > Change that drop down to English (United Kingdom) > Apply and OK

  3. First find a different driver for the keyboard - also make sure you do a scan for viruses/spyware as those can mess with your keyboard presses too.

  4. Regional & Languages > On the first page change the top drop down to English (UK) > Location at the bottom to United Kingdom  

  5. if the keyboard is not faulty then do you have other languages installed apart from English? i mean UK or USA
