  1. get into you basement/shelter and away from all windows


  2. The FIRST thing to do is figure out WHY they are going off.  Turn on the TV or a radio and see what they're saying.  Sometimes the tornado sirens are just being tested, or can even malfunction.  If you've got no power, chances are they're going off for a good reason.

    In that case, get underground, or if you can't do that, to an interior room.

  3. Bend over ... put your head between your legs ... and kiss your butt goodbye!
