  1. I suggest you get inside a condom,as your safest inside something that has rubber in contact with the floor.Maybe count the ribs to occupy yourself.

  2. listen to your Ipod.

  3. Golf.

  4. Get into the house!

  5. have you tried hang gliding?

  6. Try reading a book or playing a board game.  Try not to be on the computer or phone when it's thundering and lightening outside and stay away from windows.  Better yet, why not try taking a nap?

  7. anything invite a friends over and paint ..... idk im thirteen to and i was just thnig like what cant you do during a thunder storm? but there are many things that i just realized you cant do so good luck

  8. SCREAM AND PANIC !!

  9. Well, if it's just a normal t-storm, try listening to music or watching T.V. If it's severe, check your local weather for warnings, and take appropriate measures. If it's a severe thunderstorm warning, stay back from windows and electronics, and keep an eye on the warnings. If it's a tornado warning, get to the lowest level of your home, or if that's not possible, get into a room with as few windows as possible, and lie as low as you can. Wait for the warning to be canceled or to expire, then you are safe from toradoes for the time being. Don't let them worry you, it's a natural occurence. Something else to try, try watching the lightning, from safety, and see if you can pick out any beauty of the storm. If you can, associate this beauty with the storms, it may keep you from being so scared.

  10. Same here!  But what I normally do, is talk to somebody on the phone.  Or...if you have a boyfriend, have him come over, or go somewhere like the movies so you can snuggle with him.  That always helps me.  Or find a room that doesnt have windows, that sort-of blocks out the noise of the thunder in my house.

  11. stay in, and cuddle mum or dad

  12. i listen to music really loud it usually works if u play it loud enough! x)

  13. you need to get over it. stop living your life in fear.

  14. Thunder and Lightening storms happen when hot meets cold air. It is the lightening (and not the noise it produces) that is the dangerous stuff.

As an electrical storm approaches, remove plugs from electrical sockets, phones from phone lines and stay away from metal taps etc. All of these can conduct a current and could cause problems. Then basically stay indoors until the storm passes.

If you are outdoors, never stand beneath a tree or high object (pylon etc). The lightening will head for the path of least resistance and this means hitting the closest thing to it. If ever you are caught in a storm, either go indoors or get into a car if you are able, or in the middle of a field, simply lie flat on the earth. And NEVER use a brolly!

Remember it is very unusual to experience lightening strike and so try not to worry about it too much. Listen to music on headphones if this helps, or do yoga to help you relax.
