  1. If you are driving, you need to be careful and drive slow.  It is best to wait for the sand trucks to treat the roads first.  Apply pressure to your brakes to make sure you are familiar with the current driving condition.  *If you have Anti-Lock Brakes, your brake pedal will vibrate to let you know how slippery it is because the ABS has taken over the braking system.  If you have regular brakes, you must pump your brakes gently*   Keep a longer distance than normal from the car in front of you.  You will need more time to slow down or stop if they spin out or loose control of the car.

    If it's freezing rain outside, it's best to just stay home.
