What to do if you have a heavy flow, but bigger tampons are too big?

I never wear tampons, but I just got my period and I might be going to the beach next week, so if I still have it, then I'll need to wear them. I've tried them before, didn't really like them. But, I'm trying them again. Just a question : I usually have a heavy flow, but bigger tampons won't fit. I am using the slimmest type right now. But I don't know what to do, because they probably won't last too long.

  1. just go up a size. dont try maxi, that will probably  be uncomfortable for you. chances are, this will work

  2. I would suggest using tampax applicators as they are easy to use. Although you say you have a heavy flow, try regular tampons first as they may be more comfortable than trying to use super the first few times. If you are comfortable with these but think you are too heavy for them, try then using the super tampons.

  3. i understand what you mean.

i'm afraid to use anything bigger than a regular.

so what i would do if i were you, is wear a regular tampon, and some pantiliners, and change the tampon more often.

ofcourse, this could become unconvienient for school or vacations.

so try to get the smallest large you can, if that makes any sense.

  4. If you have a heavy flow, then you should be using a 'larger' tampon. They will fit, it'll just take a little more time. Try not to tense up as this will make it more difficult. Good luck, you'll get used to them :-)

  5. I've used 'Tampax Pearl - Super' many times, and it's not big at all, trust me!

This kind just slides right in.

  6. just change your tampons more frequently

  7. If you use plastic applicators you can get ones for a heavy flow. Something like Pearl Tampons works good.

The cardboard ones tend to be bigger and uncomfortable. So go with plastic. Make sure that it says SUPER on the box!
