What to do if your a bass guitar beginner?

I want to start learning how to play the bass guitar. But since I don't have enough money to pay $100 a month for lessons, I was wondering, is there were any sites, techniques, or songs I could learn that might help me?

You will find good tutorials on youtube. What's good is that they are visual and you can see exactly what the person is doing.
