  1. Tell them "yeah, If they`re payin for the gas!!"

and get yourself a Diesel Jetta, cool looking and still get 50mpg, while hauling butt!

  2. I would tell them that you don't want it. Use as many excuses as it takes, poor fuel economy, you don't want something that big, there is too much wrong with it....

I would get something that is reliable if they are buying it for you and you won't get something else anytime soon. You don't want to get stuck with a lot of repairs. Just remember to be polite about it.

  3. Use gas mileage in your favor. If they're going to buy it for you, keep it for awhile, sell it, buy something better. That might be the smartest way to go. That way you have something to drive while you make more money for something you like.

  4. If they are buying then it's up to them.  If you're working, it shouldn't take too long to save up your own $3000 and buy your own car.

  5. Tell them that if the truck breaks down then you are the one that will be walking and you don't trust that truck.

  6. Whose money ?
