My fiance and I are honeymooning in Acapulco this fall. We're staying at the Torrablanca hotel. The honeymoon was a gift, and we have no idea what to do there.

  2. Look at these websites, there is a good list of activities on both.

  3. The nightlife is amazing in Acapulco! I just went a few weeks ago and I had awesome time. Make sure go to Palladium - its the best club I've ever been to in my life. The beaches are really nice and the city is so pretty. You'll have a great time. And there's tons of other tourists and lots of people speak english so be sure to ask for other ideas once you get there.

  4. Well head up to where the cruise ships come in and check out the park there and the Fort of San Diego. The Fort is a tourist thing but it only takes an hour and is really informative on the history of Acapulco. I dont like those sort of things but this one I do.

Dont eat seafood on the beach. Ignore the peddelars, they may look sad and dirty but they are professionals.Any umbrella and chair set uo will cost you 20 pesos. Sit down and a man will approach you for the cash . I'm a beach towel type of guy myself.

See a t shirt or something you like - start barganing at half price and work from there - you may have to walk away but chances are good they will call you back and sell at around half price.

Blue buses on the Costera pretty much run end to end - cost is 4.50 pesos 50 cents. Wave one down hop on, and when you want to exit just yell " Baja " and he will stop.

If you buy your beer at Oxxo the ice at the front display cooler is free.

Favorite beach Playa Diana - All know where its at. Huge water fountain with " diana " and a bow and arrow up top.

I like it for the rocks there and the gradual slope of the beach. The large rock provides shade and the one in the water are just cool to sit on , dive from , and you can see fish around them when you swim . Close to Oxxo for beer refill ,and Tortas Diana for lunch.

Favorite little resturants - heck its all good BUT - Go to the left behind the Oxxo there at Playa Diana and right behind it is Tortas Diana - Taco's barbachoa and the Tortas are fantastic Tortas - 26 pesos . tacos 20 pesos. They dont have beer ( soda's yes ) but you can swing thru Oxxo and bring one, they dont mind.

BE CAREFUL CROSSING THE COSTERA - watch others and follow. The traffic can be bad and youll want to try and scoot across but they will drive over you.

OK - must do ! Up at the Marina look for green buses with Pie de la Cuesta up top. Also Playa Luces down below. It will take about 30 / 45 minutes to get to the "Pie ". Take that bus all the way out past the air field runway ( you'll see ) , You will probably be the last ones on th bus, but thats where he turns around. Get out - he will kick you off anyway - grab some beers and head down the many ally ways - Hotel Gloria sign is a marker. The beach is completely deserted - EMPTY !

Its probably 50 yards wide and goes for as far as the eye can see. Hang out and enjoy the solitude. Stroll south and head up any ally way for beer and lunch.

Do not play in the HUGE waves - seriously - these things can reach 30 ft ! Mikey went out and played 1 time. I got caught off guard and a 20 footer came and crashed me like a doll. Dont do it - they will kill you.

I can watch those waves ( and do !  ) for hours. Find a little tikki hut with a hammock and enjoy! The waves are LOUD. They will stay in your head the next day.

Across the road is a fresh water lagoon that you can water ski and jet skii on . wash off the salt water before heading home.

I usually sit at a outside little bar with a beer and wait for the bus comming down the street for the return trip. Pay for your beer so your ready to go when it swings by.

Need more ? link over to me and give me your e mail.

GO TO PIE DE LA CUESTA !!! It will be your new vacation spot I promise.
