What to do in Canada or Michigan for 4th of july weekend.?

I live in Detroit Michigan but would like to get away for the holiday weekend and am clueless of where to go. Would like to travel no more then 4 hours from the greater detroit area due to gas prices. Was thinking somewhere in Canada or upper MI. Maybe even Ohio. Somewhere that has maybe beaches. We are young people in our mid 20's and enjoy nightlife also. Some ideas thought of so far are:

Put-n-bay, Ohio

Caseville MI

Cedar Pointe in Ohio

Grand Bend/Port Austin
